Introducing Caring Connections, a dedicated mental wellness initiative by Glanbrook Community Services in partnership with Fields & Flour Therapy. Specifically designed for women ages 55 and better, this program offers a holistic approach to well-being that meets you exactly where you are in your journey.
How the Program Works
We believe that wellness is multi-layered. Through this partnership, we offer two distinct pathways to support:
1. Community-Led Prevention (GCS): Stay active and connected through our wellness workshops, day retreats, specialized fitness classes, and social gatherings. These programs focus on building community and providing the tools needed to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
2. Creative Clinical Support (Fields & Flour): For those looking to delve deeper into their personal wellness journey, our partners at Fields & Flour Therapy provide professional, registered counseling. Whether through traditional sessions or creative "out-of-the-box" methods like baking or nature-based therapy, GCS clients can access these clinical services at a specialized, discounted rate.
Our Mission
To build a stigma-free community in Glanbrook and the Hamilton area where women feel safe and seen. Whether you are looking for a social afternoon of learning or a deeper therapeutic connection, Caring Connections is here to ensure you never have to walk your path alone.
Upcoming Events
The Women's Club:
The Women’s Connection Club meets every third Tuesday at 11:00 AM, providing a welcoming space for women to gather, share, and support one another through life’s ups and downs. Whether you’re looking to talk through what's on your mind or just want to enjoy a morning of connection, we offer a relaxed atmosphere with interactive conversation cards, classic games, and occasional creative crafts like painting. This is a completely free program designed to beat isolation and build community, and we always have light refreshments ready for you to enjoy!
Our Partner
Our primary counseling partner, Fields & Flour Therapy, specializes in a creative, human-centered approach to mental wellness that moves beyond the traditional office setting.
Based in Hamilton, their team of registered therapists offers "out-of-the-box" support, from nature-based walk-and-talk sessions on local trails to expressive art through baking, designed to make therapy feel approachable and relaxed rather than clinical.
By blending professional expertise with real-world activities, they provide a flexible, non-cookie-cutter path to healing that helps you find your own unique way to calm.
