Land Acknowledgement
Glanbrook Community Services (GCS) respectfully acknowledge that our work and community are situated on the traditional territories of the Erie, Neutral, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas. This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabek to share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. In our roles as residents, neighbours, and partners, we pledge to deepen our understanding of this land’s history and to foster relationships rooted in respect, equity, and collaboration.
About Us
We are a charitable, non-profit organization legally named Glanbrook Home Support Programme Inc., operating as Glanbrook Community Services (GCS).
Founded in 1991 by a group of compassionate individuals, GCS was created to address the need for supportive social services in the rural Glanbrook area.
Our commitment is primarily to seniors and individuals living with disabilities, though many of our programs can benefit the entire community by helping people maintain their independence, health, and well-being.
We offer a variety of quality programs and services that enable individuals to live safely and lead healthy lives in their own homes.
These services are made possible thanks to the dedication of volunteers, committed staff, and the guidance of our volunteer Board of Directors.
